Dr. Tom Taney

Growing up in Wayne, PA, Dr. Tom Taney developed a passion for medicine, science and animals at a very young age. Inspired by his sister, currently a veterinary dental and oral surgery specialist, Dr. Taney went on to pursue an undergraduate degree in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Following this, he achieved his doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine and went on to complete a one year small animal medicine and surgery internship at Tufts University. Most recently, he received specialty training in emergency and critical care at the University of Pennsylvania.

He is a proud member of the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association. He has special interest in Emergency and Critical Care, Transfusion Medicine, Hematology and Soft Tissue Surgery.

Dr. Taney shares his home with his 3 pets, Audrey, B’J and Jones and in his spare time enjoys going out to eat, craft beer, mountain and road biking, swimming and going to the beach.
