Dr. Alyssa Zoto

Alyssa Zoto, DVM, DACVIM is an internist at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. She grew up in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, and has been surrounded by animals her entire life.

While growing up Dr. Zoto worked at Willow Grove Day Camp helping at the horse stables and teaching lessons. She was very interested in Zoo and Exotic medicine and was able to complete an externship at the Philadelphia Zoo during college! Throughout veterinary school, Dr. Zoto volunteered at the local shelter in Kentucky and did a lot of fostering of all sorts of puppies, kittens, dogs, and cats. Shelter medicine and giving back to the community is a passion for Dr. Zoto.

Dr. Zoto graduated from Temple University in 2015 with a Biology degree. She was awarded the Ruth Keith Scholarship, PECO Scholarship, and Keith Jefferson Dobrich Scholarship during her undergraduate studies. Dr. Zoto then went on to graduate from Lincoln Memorial University’s College of Veterinary Medicine in 2019. She graduated with the following honors: Phi Zeta Veterinary Honors, Pennsylvania Veterinary Medical Association/Pennsylvania Veterinary Foundation Leadership Scholarship, LMU-CVM Clinical Pathology Award, VBMA Business Certificate with Honors, Zoetis/AAVMC Veterinary Student Scholarship, AVMA Auxiliary to the Legacy Endowed Scholarship, and Zoetis/AAVMC Veterinary Student Scholarship.

Dr. Zoto is a member of the American Society of Veterinary Nephrology and Urology Veterinary Interventional Radiology & Interventional Endoscopy Society, and her professional interests include immune-mediated disease, infectious disease, hematology, and hepatobiliary disease.

She shares her home with two cats and a dog. Basil is a Labrador Retriever/Australian Shepherd mix, and Sweet Potato and Quill are her cats. Outside of working in veterinary medicine, Dr. Zoto enjoys hiking, running (especially with Basil), playing video games, and going down the shore!
