Lorri “Sonny” Brooks, Grief Support
Specialist & Rescue Coordinator

Lorri Brooks is a Companion Animal End-of-Life Doula and Grief Support Specialist at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. A lifelong animal lover, she is committed to honoring the human–animal bond and supporting pet families through loss and transition. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from Rutgers University and a certificate in Pet Loss Support Group facilitation from the University of Vermont.

Lorri previously worked with veterinary hospitals throughout the Mid-Atlantic region in veterinary pharmaceuticals and remains passionate about supporting animal shelters and their work with vulnerable animals. She also values building meaningful relationships with rescue and shelter partners to further support animal welfare and strengthen community connections. She is honored to offer a gentle, compassionate presence for grieving pet parents and to help create space for comfort, connection, and healing.
