Dr. Grant Crandall

Dr. Grant Crandall grew up in Scotch Plains, New Jersey and was influenced by his great grandfather who was a veterinarian himself. He said, “I still have his veterinary science book at home from 1917 which I was more interested in reading as a child than the fiction books I was offered.” The stories he was told about his great grandfather truly inspired him. This led Dr. Crandall to attend Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences to earn an undergraduate degree in Animal Science and later his Veterinary Medicines Directorate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine.
His professional interests include emergency, general practice, and exotics. Dr. Grant Crandall said, “The most satisfying part about being a veterinarian is seeing the reactions of both the animals and owners when they are reunited after a hospital stay. This really highlights the unbreakable bond between people and their pets.”
Dr. Crandall lives with his wife Marianna, a domestic longhair cat named Zeke, and a domestic shorthair cat named Zeus. He is a big supporter of all the Philadelphia sports teams and also enjoys going hiking and playing guitar.
