Dr. Lauren Simermeyer

Dr. Lauren Simermeyer is one of our ER veterinarians. She has worked at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and 24 hour Emergency Service since 2009, and her professional interests include emergency and critical care as well as canine reproduction. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society.  She also has a special interest in the Human Animal Bond.  She recently completed a certification program that is centered around this as she feels it is an essential component in her treatment plans for patient and client.

Dr. Simermeyer attended Muhlenberg College where she double majored in biology and psychology. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007.  Dr. Simermeyer has bred and shown Cardigan Welsh Corgis for the past 20 years. She shares her home with twelve canine companions and two cats. In her free time she enjoys traveling, gardening and kayaking.  She and her dog, Valerie, are working as a therapy dog team within the Evesham school district.
