Dr. Danielle Hummel

Dr. Danielle Hummel grew up locally in Marlton, New Jersey, with Mount Laurel Animal Hospital being her second home! Dr. Hummel’s introduction to veterinary medicine took place here, at Mt. Laurel Animal Hospital! Dr. Hummel has grown from shadowing to a kennel attendant, to a technician assistant, to a technician from the age of 18 all through veterinary school!

She completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Delaware in 2018, with a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences. Dr. Hummel graduated with the honor of Summa Cum Laude, as well as a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honor Society Member! Following her time at the University of Delaware, she went on to graduate from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022, as a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society

She is additionally a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and her professional interests include emergency and critical care, emergency surgery, dermatology, and ophthalmology.

An interest in biology and life sciences in college, combined with a strong connection to dogs motivated Dr. Hummel to pursue a career in the veterinary field. “I never considered veterinary medicine as a career until I got to Delaware and saw the robust pre-veterinary program there and all that the profession can offer!”

Dr. Hummel shares her home with her one dog, Bumbles, an American Eskimo mix who is so stinking smart, cute, and naughty! She also enjoys going to the gym, exploring National Parks with her fiancé, Patrick, and binge-watching all the latest Netflix hits!
