Madden

Our puppy, Madden, has been failing in health recently. He was an older dog (a Yorkie), probably 13, he was blind and had no teeth. When we adopted him I think he was 7 at the time.

Coming into this weekend he took a turn for the worse. He didn’t seem in pain, so we just kept him comfortable, his time was getting short. Saturday morning we didn’t think he would make it thru the day.

I called in to Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and talked to a CSR about my options. We decided to bring him in for euthanasia that evening.

From the beginning, till the end, everyone was so……
Understanding, supportive, empathic, helpful, wonderful.
There are many more accolades I could use.

There were several people involved. While I was checking in at the desk, a staff member saw my wife sitting down, in distress, and walked over to try and help her. We were moved into an exam room very quickly. They took Madden for a few minutes (for catheter insertion). Then brough him back to the exam room. And then the euthanasia was performed.

We left the exam and proceeded to the lobby desk. Theresa was there (she was the CSR I originally talked to). She was very sweet and hugged my wife. We talked about Paw prints and ashes. We are getting both.

Just wanted to thank everyone. Theresa, the person that walked over to my wife in the lobby, the vet that performed the procedure. Wish I had everyone’s name.

I knew I started working at great place, but when your a “customer”, you can really experience how special it really is.

Again, thanks so much.
