Dr. S. Bryce Dooley
Dr. S. Bryce Dooley says the most satisfying part of being a veterinarian is, "As an anesthesiologist, I use my knowledge of pharmacology and physiology to provide a tailored anesthetic and analgesic plan for every patient. I also get to speak with owners to provide information and a better understanding of what anesthesia means for their pet. Oftentimes I find owners can be very scared of their pet having anesthesia. It is very satisfying to have concerned owners place their trust in me as I provide the best possible care for their pet and to see how grateful they are when they are reunited with their pet." Her professional interests include pharmacokinetics, anesthesia for thoracic cases, emergency cases (GDVs, hemoabdomens), interventional radiology cases, locoregional analgesia, rehabilitation, and farm animal anesthesia.
She has two adopted Cockapoos, both found as strays in South Carolina; one dog is named Ozzie (who recently completed his AKC Canine Good Citizen exam), and the other is named Emma. In her free time, she enjoys horseback riding, ballroom dancing, exploring the city of Philadelphia, running (currently training for the Philadelphia Half Marathon), gardening, trying new recipes, and of course, spending time with Ozzie and Emma!
