Dr. Rebecca Revay, a South Jersey native, earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology with minors in Chemistry and Marine Science at Stockton University. She then earned her VMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. During her externships in school, she rotated through a variety of places, such as The Wildlife Center of Virginia, Six Flags Great Adventure Safari Park, and (serendipitously) Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. During her summers in between school, she worked with Rural Area Veterinary Services, bringing spay/neuter and preventative care for dogs and cats to remote Native American reservations out west. Before vet school, she worked as a veterinary assistant in a small practice and volunteered at the Mercer County Wildlife Center. Growing up, she had a variety of exotic pets, such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, snakes, red-eared sliders, budgies, cockatiels, and a variety of fish (including cichlids).

She began her professional career working in general practice with dogs, cats, and exotics. Wanting a change, she then joined MLAH's Emergency Services as an Associate Veterinarian. Since she has always had a strong interest in exotics, when an Exotics Fellowship opportunity presented itself, she made the jump to exclusively working with exotics companion animals. After her fellowship year, she fully joined the Avian and Exotics Department as an Associate Veterinarian.

Dr. Revay is a proud member of Association of Avian Veterinarians, Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians, Association of Reptile and Amphibian Veterinarians, Association of Sugar Glider Veterinarians, World Aquatic Veterinary Medical Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and the Humane Society Veterinary Medical Association. During undergrad she participated in research with raccoons and public health, and in vet school assisted in a study on virus prevalence in Pennsylvania's wolves. She is currently working on case reports from the unique cases she is seeing at MLAH. While she loves all of her patients, her main interest is rabbits and she strives to be on the forefront on new, evidence-based care for them. She is also involved in the healthcare and management of the pond and fish tank in MLAH's lobby.

She shares her home with her fiancé Michael, who is also a veterinarian. She has a lop rabbit, named Penguin, as well as a quarter pony, named Jackie. Her hobbies include horseback riding, video games, tabletop games, hiking new places, painting, and playing violin/bass guitar. During undergrad and veterinary school, she played on multiple Quidditch teams, and has traveled around the country to play at a national level!
