Dr. Bathilda Lake
Bathilda Lake, DVM, DACVECC works in the Critical Care Department at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. Dr. Lake's veterinary interests include treating all forms of shock and resuscitation, wound management, and managing critical post-operative patients and septic patients.
Dr. Lake graduated from Delaware Valley College in 2010 with an undergraduate degree in Small Animal Science. She then attended the Virginia Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, where she graduated in 2014. She was also a recipient of the IVECCS 2021 Haskin's Scholarship, as well as the 2021 Resident Teaching Award!
Growing up in Gaithersburg, Maryland, Dr. Lake's first experience in veterinary medicine was shadowing a mixed animal doctor, where she was immediately enthralled with the profession. On her first day, Dr. Lake helped a goat who was having trouble giving birth! Following this experience, Dr. Lake has worked as a kennel attendant, a receptionist, a veterinary assistant, and as a veterinary technician.
Dr. Lake spends her time with her fur babies, Bear a shepherd-lab mix, and Veloce a whippet! In her spare time, she also enjoys cooking, taking hikes with her dogs, and spending time with her fiancé.
