Dr. Victoria Byfield
Growing up in Southern England, Dr. Victoria Byfield always had a love for animals. With great interest in feline medicine, endocrinology, gastroenterology and ultrasound, Dr. Victoria Byfield began her veterinary journey following graduation in 2002 from Clark University located in Worcester, MA, where she majored in Biology and minored in Chemistry. Following this, she worked at a Human Immunology Lab as a Medical Researcher in New York City.
Dr. Byfield attended Tufts Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine and upon graduation, she completed a rotating internship in medicine and surgery followed by a specialty internship in internal medicine. With several accolades and extensive internal medicine experience to her credit, she fulfilled her Internal Medicine Residency at University of Pennsylvania Ryan Veterinary Hospital in 2008 and went on to practice at a Central Jersey hospital.
When asked what she finds most satisfying about being a veterinarian, Dr. Byfield says "I enjoy the diagnostic challenges of discovering what is wrong with an ill pet."
In October 2015, Dr. Byfield joined our team to practice Internal Medicine, performing consultations and ultrasounds.
Dr. Byfield's personal interests include hiking, cooking and spending time with her husband and three feline children: Millie, Tuti and Peaches.
