Dr. Lauren Coblentz

For Dr. Lauren Coblentz, becoming a veterinarian was something she wanted for as long as she can remember. While growing up in South Jersey, she spent a lot of time volunteering with the veterinarians who cared for her family's pets.

Dr. Coblentz earned her Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science from Cornell University. While at Cornell she served as the President of the PreVet Society. She earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine (clinical year completed at North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine). After completing her clinical year at NCSU-CVM, she participated in a research project with a dermatology department, focusing on food allergy. She is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the Southern New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association and her professional interests include endocrinology, surgery and gastroenterology. Dr. Coblentz joined the Mount Laurel Animal Hospital team in July 2007.

"I truly feel honored and privileged to help foster the bond between animals and their families," she says. "My clients are extremely dedicated to their pets and I am so grateful for that. I love teaching them the best ways to keep their animals healthy, how to actively participate in their medical care, and therefore, contribute to their longevity. As veterinarians, our patients deserve our very best."

At home, she loves playing with her spirited, affectionate Vizsla named Cayman. She and her husband Mark have twins, Caroline and Will. She especially enjoys spending time traveling with her family all over the world, as well as swimming, baking and exploring new restaurants. Dr. Coblentz is also an active member of the South Jersey Mothers of Multiples.
