Dr. Kate Morris - Surgeon
Dr. Kate Morris earned her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Cornell University. Prior to becoming a veterinarian she spent time shadowing in animal hospitals, and was employed in an equine orthopedic research laboratory where she worked on the use of stem cells and platelet rich plasma in orthopedic injuries such as tendon trauma and cartilage degeneration. She also completed a small animal rotating internship at The Animal Medical Center, as well as a residency in small animal surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Morris says “helping people understand what’s going on with their pet, and being able to work together to come up with a plan to improve that pet’s quality of life is a huge part of why I enjoy my career. I am honored to be the one to get to put that plan into action.”
She has special interest in Orthopedic, Oncologic and Soft Tissue Surgery, and is a proud member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and the American College of Veterinary Surgeons.
She shares her home with her husband Shane and two pets, Logan and Stella. She enjoys exploring Philadelphia, attending baseball games and visiting parks with her pets.
