Dr. Jeffrey Haymaker

Jeffrey Haymaker, VMD is an associate veterinarian at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital and 24 hour Emergency Service. He is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association and is the treasurer of the Southern New Jersey Veterinary Medical Association. His professional veterinary interests include internal medicine and surgery. He joined our veterinary hospital in June 2014. Dr. Haymaker works in the primary care department as well as in the emergency service. Outside of MLAH, Dr. Haymaker is an adjunct instructor of veterinary technology at Manor College.

Dr. Haymaker grew up in Berkeley Heights, NJ and attended Governor Livingston High School. He earned his B.S. in Veterinary Technology from Quinnipiac University, graduating Cum Laude. He earned his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2014. While in college, Dr. Haymaker was the vice president of the Vet Tech Club and received numerous Dean's List awards. He currently resides in Marlton, NJ.

"Having an established relationship with a family and their pet, and seeing the family's appreciation after helping their pet is one of the most satisfying parts of being a veterinarian," Dr. Haymaker says.

At home Dr. Haymaker has a cat named Mimsy, who he adopted while in veterinary school, as well as a rescue dog named John the Dog. He spends his free time with friends at the movies or playing board games, reading a mix of fiction and non-fiction, going to the gym, and traveling near and far to explore restaurants, breweries, and other sights to be seen.
