Dr. Carrie Woodcock
Dr. Carrie Woodcock grew up in the Chicago Suburbs, where her love for animals began. Her mother was instrumental in her journey into veterinary medicine. She attended Rice University for her undergraduate studies where she graduated Cum Laude with a degree in Biology. Dr. Woodcock worked in several veterinary hospitals during college. She also volunteered at the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago, worked at the Anti-Cruelty Society in Chicago, and volunteered for an organization in Texas that rescued and provided a safe haven for Big Cats. She graduated from University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine in 1992 as Valedictorian.
Dr. Woodcock is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, and the American Association of Rehabilitation Veterinarians. She has professional interests in rehabilitation, pain management, patient-client bond, quality of life, end of life/hospice, and integrative medicine.
Dr. Carrie Woodcock is married to Dr. Corey Woodcock, a veterinarian over at Pennsauken Animal Hospital. They spend their free time with their 3 children, and enjoy traveling, hiking, and playing games. Her kids are her inspiration, and states, “My 3 young adults whose personal struggles with chronic pain, trauma, and mobility challenges motivate me to help both our patients and the families who struggle along with them. They are the inspiration for what I do every day- helping patients and their families manage and live with challenges so they can live their best life.” The Woodcock’s have opened their home to more pets than people: Mia a poma-huahua. Hobo a scruffy shih tzu mix, Boo- DSH, Mabel DSH, PJ DLJ, Ruby Ragdoll, Bubba Ragdoll, and Cookie Ragdoll. They also have a tortoise named Speedy.
