Dr. Anna Tyryllo
Dr. Anna Tyryllo’s motivation to one day become a veterinarian was a direct result of her love for science, as well as her mom’s love for all animals! Being there for animals when they need us the most is the most rewarding part of being a veterinarian for Dr. Tyryllo.
Growing up in Jersey City, New Jersey, she volunteered at a local shelter, worked as a veterinary assistant and then veterinary technician, as well as spent time working at Rutgers Cook Farm as a Large Animal supervisor!
For her undergraduate studies, Dr. Tyryllo attended Rutgers University School of Environmental and Biological Sciences and graduated in 2018 with a Major in Animal Science, Minor in Endocrine Physiology and Health Science. Dr. Tyryllo also has the honor of being named to the Dean’s List, as well as receiving the School of Environmental and Biological Sciences Scholarship. Following her undergraduate studies, she graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2022.
Dr. Tyryllo is also a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, and her professional interests include emergency and critical care, trauma, toxicology, and soft tissue surgery.
Dr. Tyryllo shares her home with the most perfect sphynx cat in all of the land, Mia! In addition to spending time with Mia, Dr. Tyryllo enjoys spending time with her husband Aleksander, and their child Maks. When not caring for animals, she enjoys traveling and seeing new places, running, cooking, gardening, pottery, and wine tasting.
