Salute to Service Touch-a-Truck

PRIVATE Event Particpation

The Mount Holly School District, hosted by Holbein Middle School, will hold a Salute to Service Touch-a-Truck event on Thursday, November 13, celebrating and thanking local community service members while giving students hands-on exposure to a wide range of career fields.

Set-up will begin at 12:45 p.m., with the event running from 1:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. Students in grades 5–8 will rotate through stations of service vehicles and professional displays. The purpose is twofold: to recognize the dedication of our community partners and to give students early career exploration opportunities by learning directly from the people behind the work.

“This event is about appreciation and awareness,” said event organizers at Holbein Middle School. “We want our students to see the real faces of service in our community—firefighters, police officers, medical teams, public works staff, and local trades professionals—and begin building a sense of connection, gratitude, and curiosity for future career paths.”

Participating partners include:

• Thackray Crane Company – Crane
• Trane Technologies (HVAC Fleet)
• Mount Holly Fire Department – Fire Truck
• Mount Holly Police Department
• Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office – Crime Scene Unit
• Mount Holly Municipal Utilities Authority – Dump Truck & Crew
• Burlington County Fire Marshal’s Office – Fire Inspection & Safety Systems
• America Emergency Squad – Ambulance Unit
• Mount Holly Township Road Department – Road Equipment
• New Jersey National Guard & New Jersey Army National Guard – Outreach Booth
• Virtua Health – CPR Safety & Demonstration Station
• Mount Laurel Animal Hospital – Veterinary Care, Pet Safety & Animal Health Education

Students will have the opportunity not only to explore vehicles and equipment, but to speak directly with professionals about their roles, training, and service to the community.
