Dr. Cassidy McCarthy

Dr. McCarthy is an Emergency Veterinarian at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. She grew up in Sugar Land, Texas, and holds professional veterinary interests in tick-borne and zoonotic diseases.

Dr. McCarthy earned her Bachelor of Sciences degree in Animal Science from Texas A&M University in 2013. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. McCarthy graduated from the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in August of 2023. During her time at the Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine, Dr. McCarthy was the President of One Health Club.

Prior to becoming a veterinarian, Dr. McCarthy was a large animal ICU nurse at Texas A&M's large animal hospital for two years, then worked as a discharge/treatment nurse at Metropolitan Veterinary Hospital during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Dr. McCarthy is a proud member of the International Veterinary Academy of Pain Management, Veterinary Emergency & Critical Care Society, College of Integrative Veterinary Therapies, and the American Holistic Vet Med Association. Beyond her dedication to veterinary medicine, Dr. McCarthy enjoys training her dog to do new tricks, hiking, and exploring new places in Philadelphia! She shares her home with Coal, a Border Collie mix.
