Dr. Lucy Hurlock

Dr. Hurlock is an Emergency & Critical Care Veterinarian at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. She grew up in Needham, Massachusetts, and holds professional veterinary interests in exotics & wildlife, ophthalmology, endocrine diseases, and small ruminants.

Before joining Mount Laurel Animal Hospital, Dr. Hurlock has an extensive history working with animals! She volunteered as a zookeeper in college at the Buttonwork Park Zoo, and lived in Africa briefly working at a cheetah rehab and reintroduction facility! Dr. Hurlock also worked as a veterinary technician at a small animal/exotics hospital for several years, as well as working at the New England Wildlife Center, and volunteering at the MSPCA Farm Animal Shelter (Nevins Farm) during that time.

During veterinary school, Dr. Hurlock volunteered regularly with the Lancaster Farm Sanctuary and continues to volunteer with them! She also has had a wildlife rehabilitation license in Massachusetts since 2017.

Dr. Hurlock earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 2017 from Wellesley College. Following her undergraduate studies, Dr. Hurlock graduated from the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine in 2024.

Beyond her dedication to veterinary medicine, Dr. Hurlock enjoys hiking, kayaking, sailing, camping, reading, crocheting, and going to the beach! Dr. Hurlock loves any activity that involves being on the water or being outside! She and her partner share their home with Melvin, a Juliana pig, Theo, a lionhead rabbit, and Turkey, Tater, and Percy, all domestic shorthair cats!
