Dr. Simon Dennis
Dr. Simon Dennis is originally from the United Kingdom and attended the Royal Veterinary College in London, graduating with a degree in veterinary medicine in 2000. After graduation, he undertook an internship in small animal medicine and surgery and completed a master’s degree in electrocardiography at the University of Glasgow Veterinary School. For the next few years, he worked as small animal veterinarian, gaining valuable experience in all aspects of general veterinary practice. Dr. Dennis then returned to the Royal Veterinary College, completing a residency in veterinary cardiology and becoming a board-certified specialist. His specialist cardiology career has spanned two countries, clinical and academic positions. He had the privilege to work as an academic cardiologist at both the Royal Veterinary College and the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine, as head of the examination committee for cardiology of the European College of Veterinary Internal Medicine, and as a clinical cardiologist in the south of England, New York City and eastern Pennsylvania. Dr. Dennis enjoys all aspects of being a veterinarian and cardiologist. He loves dogs and cats equally and has had many pets over the years, each one a rescue animal. As a cardiologist, he has a particular interest and expertise in echocardiography, the diagnosis and management of heart failure and congenital heart disease.
