The shadow program is for current high school or college students, and allows them opportunity to observe veterinary medicine in general practice. The applicant will be paired with a doctor. They may learn about basic pet husbandry, the purpose of vaccinations, heartworm and flea/tick prevention, observe procedures, and discover what it is like to be a veterinarian or technician. Please understand that students are only permitted to observe, and will not be able to handle any of the animals or equipment. Generally, students are scheduled for 2-3 hour shifts (for 1-2 different days). Students must be in highschool to shadow.
