Presentation Overview

In the “Lyme” Light: The Diagnostic and Therapeutic Approach to Borreliosis in the Canine Patient is a clinically focused review of Lyme disease in dogs. This presentation will explore the pathophysiology of Borrelia burgdorferi infection and the host immune response, with emphasis on the development and clinical manifestations of Lyme arthritis and Lyme nephritis.

Evidence-based diagnostic strategies—including appropriate use and interpretation of serologic testing and adjunctive diagnostics—will be reviewed. Treatment recommendations, monitoring considerations, and prognostic factors will also be discussed to support informed clinical decision-making in affected canine patients.
