Dr. Christopher Salerno

Dr. Christopher Salerno joined Mount Laurel Animal Hospital in 2025 as an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Salerno grew up locally, in Sicklerville, New Jersey! His lifelong love of animals, combined with the challenge of emergency medicine motivated Dr. Salerno to pursue veterinary medicine as a career.

After graduating from St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010, Dr. Salerno has gone on to gain extensive experience as a Primary Care and Emergency (daytime and overnight) veterinarian for several different practices on the East Coast. During his academic career, Dr. Salerno graduated Magna Cum Laude, was a member of the Phi Zeta Honor Society, Alpha Delta Chapter 2009, and received the Pfizer Specialty Team Award for Anesthesia, 2008. Prior to veterinary school, Dr. Salerno was awarded the Distinguished Scholar’s Award 2000 – 2004 and National Merit Scholar 2000 – 2004 while pursuing his Chemistry during his undergraduate studies at Tulane University.

Dr. Salerno currently shares his home with C.C. (Countess Carmilla), a domestic shorthair cat! Outside of veterinary medicine, he enjoys traveling, cooking, photography, and geeking out.
