Dr. Chaya Storch is a 2021 Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine at Tufts graduate. Prior to attending vet school, she completed a bachelor’s degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology at UCLA and spent several years working as an assistant in various veterinary settings to gain professional experience. After a year of interning at a primary care practice/ER hospital, she decided to focus on exotics-only medicine and completed specialty internships at Gulf Coast Veterinary Specialists and the Center for Bird and Exotic Animal Medicine to further her exotics knowledge and skill set. She recently completed an ABVP residency program at the Veterinary Center for Birds and Exotics, focusing on exotic companion mammal medicine. Chaya is an active member of the Association of Exotic Mammal Veterinarians and regularly contributes to their website, working with other members to create client education brochures. In her spare time, she enjoys baking, crafts, and reading historical fiction.
