Caroline Cox, LSW, MSW
Caroline Cox is a veterinary social worker at Mount Laurel Animal Hospital. Caroline is a lifelong animal lover and passionate advocate for social justice. She believes in the power of the human-animal bond and that everyone should have access to its benefits. Caroline earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Denver, where she also obtained a Certificate in Animal-Assisted Social Work. She holds a Bachelor of Social Work from the University of Pittsburgh.
Caroline has diverse experience in social work, including roles in re-entry services at New Leash on Life USA, emergency medicine at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital, inpatient psychiatric care at Belmont Behavioral Health Hospital, and child welfare. She is also a dedicated puppy raiser for Canine Companions, a nonprofit that provides service dogs to individuals with disabilities.
With a lifelong interest in veterinary medicine, Caroline was thrilled to discover the growing field of veterinary social work. She is eager to integrate her social work perspective into the veterinary setting, supporting both professionals and clients in navigating the emotional challenges of animal care
