Active involvement in dog sports including agility, nose work, and barn hunting coupled with her love of the science of fitness and rehabilitation inspired Certified Veterinary Technician, Karen, to pursue a career in Rehabilitative Medicine.
Karen was first introduced to canine physical therapy 12 years ago when her first agility dog had his CCL repaired. She says, "I was amazed how quickly he recovered from surgery and returned to agility. He also loved to go to therapy, especially using the underwater treadmill.” Her passion for the field also led her to work with local shelters and rescue groups training and exercising adoptable dogs.
She attended Wilson College and earned her undergraduate degree in Veterinary Medical Technology. Karen has special interest in Emergency and Critical Care, Specialty Surgery and Rehabilitation.
At home she has 2 dogs: Rowdy and Mason, 2 horses: Nick and Jack a Shetland Pony named Finn along with several hens, a bearded dragon and many fish.
