Dr. Andrea Caniglia
Dr. Caniglia completed a three-year residency in Anesthesia and Analgesia at the University of Pennsylvania School of Veterinary Medicine. She has been a practicing anesthesiologist in a large private referral center since 2011, and became a diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Anesthesia and Analgesia in 2012.
Anesthesia is a small specialty, and has historically been limited to veterinary teaching hospitals. She became an anesthesiologist with the goal of providing this same high standard of care to patients receiving anesthesia in a private hospital. Developing the anesthesia specialty in the private hospital setting has been a very rewarding experience. During her time in private practice, Dr. Caniglia has also become a resource to local general practitioners eager for continuing education, and assistance with developing anesthesia programs in their hospitals. What Dr. Caniglia enjoys the most is providing a pain free and safe anesthetic experience for all types of patients and procedures.
When not at work Dr. Caniglia enjoys running and cycling competitively. She loves to cook for family and friends. But most of all spending time with her husband and two little girls.
